Thanks Rudy, your a pretty big help on this site! Let me know if you ever wanna go hit up a honey hole!

Great fishing holes, all of em!

There used to be ample parking right off luna rd itself till the city had to elevate the shoreline there to keep the pit from spilling across and covering the road! now you have to park right off the road, scale the "levee" and the work the banks. Best bank to work(due to the easiness of walking it) is the bank on the edge of the golf course fairways. If you follow it down(West) you will come to the big pit that is fed directly by the EF. I have fished that entire area since about 1971, and it is one awesome fishery(the aggregate of pits, it's a small complex of pits!).

Yes TXstryker. It is L.B. Houston Golf Course. I drive by it pretty much every day going to work to avoid SB35 in the evenings. Anybody hit the ponds on the golf course itself? They look like they could be pretty hot!

Those holes on the course are hot but the Greens Marshalls that run you off for fishing them can get even hotter when they see you casting, LOL!

As for the "lead", no worries, the main pits i fish are north of the range, and all the practice areas have high dirt banks behind the targets. They are nowhere near the fishing areas. At least nowhere near the pits I fish

Almost forgot: there is a day every week when the golf course is closed for maintenance, landscaping, etc. Some golf courses have their personnel look the other way when someone is fishing their water hazards, but not all of em! Not sure about LB Houston. Since it is owned by the City of Dallas, they might tend to be a bit on chintzy side, but not sure. Don't even know what day of the week they are closed. It used to be Mondays, not so sure any more.
