she shot it with a Rossie 243 that we traded for. I traded my 17 for it thesame day we sighted it in, went out and she shot it at 70 yrds right in the heart...went ten yards and died...on top of thatwe got it all on video...
Thanks ebjr for fixin the pic...

How did she handle the fact that she killed the deer? I'm an avid deer hunter and have shot many deer but I still have a little remorse each and every time I kill one. Not saying I break down in tears or anything like that but out of respect for the animal I do feel a little bad every time. I feel anyone that does not feel this way shouldn't be hunting. With that being said and especially with your first deer, I am just wondering how she took it.

we are a hunting and fishing family...and a christian family....we respect everything that God provides for us ...that being said she has seen many dead deer...but her mother and I were wondering how she would react to being the one that shot the deer...I was very proud of her...she thanked The Lord ...for the deer...she helped me cape and quarter it with a little bit of oohs and yucks but not to bad for a six year old..thanks for asking she did great!

That will be a great memory for her. Congrats on getting her in the outdoors at an early age. Mines 8, and if it doesnt involve the TV, she wants no part of it. And I have tried.

Why are you telling us? It's a fishing forum and not a hunting forum. Answer: I'd be telling everybody Great job!

I don't feel like explaining it, maybe someone else will.
