I have a full tank of gas and I don't think I will use much this winter, would it be a problem if I just let it sits over the winter ?

thanks

You need to add Sta-Bil. Once added you need to run the boat to get it in the whole fuel system.

Don't let it sit. Either stabil...better yet Pri-G.
Best is to run the motor dry, pump out and back fresh next spring. A full tank of gas is a bunch of money these days.

I assume it is a 2 cycle motor. I've used Sta-Bil and stored gas in the boat for 6 months ok. I try to pump the bulb every 2 weeks to keep my carbs full and not let the oil gum them up. With Fuel Injection I doubt you need to worry. Get your boat to the lake or run it with the flush ears/waterhose every chance you get. I think the more days a week a 2 stroke is run, the less problem it is.

4 cycle should be no problem. Just Sta-bil (or other gasoline additive) and store it till you can run it again.

Try some winter time fishing, you'll like it. Just make sure you have good clothes to keep you warm. Those chemical hand warmers will help too.

Best thing is to use it. If you just pull it out and the gas sloshes around and hook a water muffler system to it and run it. I also use Sta-bil to prevent set up. Or a product by Yamaha that is very similar. Warranty issues.
