We went out to LL today for second shift. We were a bit slow at first we joined the boat show working the birds by the old spillway new lake side. Not much luck but caught a few.
Then we started moving toward Deadmans. Good call.
When we got close to deadmans the birds started working real good and we had some topwater and mixed in mid level just under surface action for nearly an hour. NICE sandies and perfect day and not another boat around while we were wailing on them.
Most caught on white/Chartruse or silver Humdingers. a few on slab with jig above.
Brought home 24 nice sandies and threw back half dozen or more.

MAN am I going to miss this perfect weather. I hate the cold.

Congrats on the great day. We were talking about that very thing today. This weather is eventually going to take a turn for the worse and never look back. I am not looking forward to winter. We may have to do a mid-winter Lewisville gang get-together at Sneaky's. Maybe sometime in Feb. Just something to do when we can't fish.

Winter fishing is uncomfortable. Another way to spell Winter fishing is "BIG HYBRIDS"! Get your "Wild Eyes" ready. Sharpen those hooks.
