 Winter Crappie at Granger - Do they run up the rivers/ creeks?

I grew up fishing Lake Lavon near Dallas and in the winter (Nov-Feb) time we would catch Crappie by the 100's up the East Fork of the Trinity River. Does anyone at Granger catch crappie up the San Gabriel or any other creeks in the winter? Thanks in advance. Scott.
