Looking for suggestions on a boat to purchase that has a large enough live-well and will handle rough water.

SeaArk makes a catfish line if your looking for aluminum boat. Other that that a bay style should get the job done.

22ft blue wave, airates, and changes water as needed, from counsel 3 large fish wells, you can use one for bait well, the other 2 will handle 60 fish from 15 to 18 inch cats, and keep them alive if the water dont get to dirty from fish in it , i keep them alive all the way home, and put them in a large tank with airator to clean up and thene i can clean next day or more when im not so wore out nez pa

I agree that a center console bay boat is your best bet. I have a Kenner 19VX. It has a large livewell with aerator and re-circulator that does a good job of keeping fish alive. It, the boat, has a lot of room and an extremely dry ride.

There was a guy on here that was building catfish boats. Couple of years ago, they were out of aluminum. Lived up around Tulsa or he sold them for some shop. www.weldproboats.com/

The "Express" line of allweld aluminum boats have huge livewells also. I trotline on Rayburn and Toledo and have plenty of room and have never lost a catfish in it's large livewell.
Just a big ole boy in a little bitty boat!

Lund Boats are a much overlooked boat for catfishing but we have sold several boats that guys fishing on the acats trail use, and they seem to realy like them. The boat drifts well and handles rough water realy good. Some boats have bigger livewells than others but most are large enough. The layout of these boats fit this type of fishing very well if you would like more info give me a call.
