Dont rule out shallow water. I mean 3ft snd shallower. Caught 15 crappie from 10:30 till 1:00. It was post North wind front and cold. They hit jigs right under the surface and small roadrunners. Tried to fish CC Sunday with 1 crappie caught trim motor went out. We were discouraged to say the least. Had to make up for it.. Started deeper first and just by chance pitched the jig pole in real shallow and out popped a slab rivaling CC size!!
