Anyone interested in fishing Emma Long the weekend before Thanksgiving? That was supposed to be the Tawakoni Fish-In, which fell by the wayside, and I already had the days off, ssssoooooo!!!!

We may be doing Thanksgiving at my daughter's house in Leander so I am thinking of pulling my trailer down on the 16th, fishing the 16th, 17th and 18th, then taking the trailer on to Leander on the 19th. Then maybe hitting Lady Bird on the 20th or 21st, or both. Or maybe getting one of the Austin gang to tell about a carp lake closer to Leander. A whole week of carp fishing in Austin!

I won't know for sure until my wife gets Thanksgiving plans set so I am just throwing out a feeler.

Probably not, since I'm doing the LLELA clean up on the 17th, and since the LLELA folks themselves are behind it, we can't exactly change the date lol.

I'm trying to spend as much time at Emma as possible right now. This run of buffalo only comes once a year and we can't know how long its going to last so I'm taking advantage of it. I have been planning thanksgiving at Emma but have not nailed down the dates. I would expect to see you down there at some point.

I'll be cleaning LLELA that Saturday (it needs it bad).

If anyone is *not* going to Emma that weekend, I'd like to see you out at the river helping us clean up.

It's official: Thanksgiving in Austin!

I will definitely be at Emma Long in the period before Thanksgiving. If there is not going to be anyone else there the weekend before I am not going to hurry down there, though. I might fish Tawakoni long enough to get some catfish or crappie to eat during the Emma trip, then leave. (Hopefully, I'll get that taken care of this weekend.) But if there will be other people there during the weekend, I'll be there Friday.

Zach? This isn't going to be like a second honeymoon already, is it????? I wouldn't want to butt in or anything!

I will be there with the family the 18th-21st.

I have to go to Houston for a meeting on the 19th so I don't think I'll make it for this weekend. I plan to go to Houston and fish the weekend then go to the meeting Monday morning. I will be heading down there Thanksgiving day and staying possibly until Monday night or Tuesday morning.

I've got new tires on the truck, truck is serviced, the trailer is ready except for a stop at the car wash, the fishing equipment is locked and loaded and the whiskey is bought. All I need is beer and food. Since I missed Fork I am really looking forward to this.

Jason - is it a for sure that you will be there the 18th through the 21st? If so, I am going to plan on staying at Emma from Friday through Tuesday then go on to Leander Wednesday morning.

5 days fishing Emma Long! Sounds better then trying for a day at Lady Bird, anyway.

Carp, Carp, Carp, Carp! Things just aren't working out on the fishing front.

We close on our property in Missouri tomorrow and I just found out tonight that there are a few unexpected expenses that I am going to have to pay out of pocket. So, there is no way I can justify, or afford, spending the gas money to pull my trailer to Austin and back. I'm not going fishing this weekend!

I also think I am going to go ahead and take my trailer on to Missouri and give up my lot at Tawakoni. I just can't see spending the $250 a month over there when I could be spending it
improving my property.

I guess if I want to return to Emma Long before moving to Missouri I'm going to have to buy a tent.

Oh well! At least tomorrow I'm going to own my own 5 acre lake!
