Fished from about 2 to almost dark from Cates Point to Johnson Park, Jordan Park and North of Wolf with only a few white bass to show for it. Birds were there but no real bird action and the few fish we marked would not bite. Did not see many shad. Where are the fish? Shouldn't they be going strong by now?

Not cold enough yet. Just like we had a cool summer, we may get a warm winter. Water temp on RH was 64.8 to 65.9 yesterday. Texoma water temp on Saturday was 62. Who knows, this next cold front might do the trick. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed

Last Friday (11/2) We found the birds and the sandbass around 4 pm in the middle of the lake out from the Sanger ramp. We were headed to the ramp but couldn't pass up the action. First time the birds have led me to any fish up there this year.
Where is Cates point?

Cates Point is the long point that devides the east and west arm of the lake. The sandies had been holding on the end of it in 24 foot of water just as it starts dropping off. The sandy action has been very good you can't just depend on the birds to show you the fish. Humps and ridges are producing some very good numbers with some good size sandies. Now that the crappie are starting to slow up I will be doing a lot more sandbass fishing in the up coming months. Cliff
