Hey All,

Asked this question on BBC also.

My 787C2 has the external GPS antenna. If I understand the instructions correctly the antenna is powered by the unit itself.

There is the plug in to the unit with a pigtail coming off of it wired to the puck and another set of wires (red, white and black).

Do those three wires need to connect to anything or not?

Or do they just get stowed under the console?

Going to do the install tomorrow so I wanted to make sure before I did anything.

Thanks

Regards

red/white/black wires I believe is your NMEA stuff. Unless you plan on using it to hook to your smartcraft gauges.

To your original question, yes it just plugs into the back of the graph there are no power wires for the GPS puck.

I like my 787...good luck.

Thanks Judd,

Appreciate it.

The 787C2 looks like a good graph. I like the sidefinders but they are to pricey at this time for me personally.

Perhaps one day I can afford one.

Regards
