I got the 08 Navionics Hotmaps card. I've never had a map card before, I've always just used the generic map that was loaded on the unit (25c). So, I'm very ignorant when it comes to these cards, I have Zero experience with them. Anyway, I slapped it in there and nothing, same old generic map with zero detail. I know I've read on here before about what I'm doing wrong, I'm just not finding the answer, please help. I'm suppose to take a friend fishing tomorrow and would love to play with this while on the water and kinda show it off. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You will need to go into the menu and change where it is looking at the map card.

Be in the Map Mode and not sonar. Hit menu twice and scroll down to Browse MMC files and select, now select the card that is in the slot.

This should work.

Thanks for the reply. It says to select a file to copy or delete, then there is a list with about 20 items on it, I'm assuming I need the one that says Ntx. I highlighted it then hit enter. It pulls up then I have a choice to either copy or delete. I sure don't want to delete it so I hit copy, then it said I needed another MMC card in the other slot. So now I'm thinking I need a blank card in the other slot to copy to???? Like I said I'm ignorant to this stuff,LOL. I really appreciate the help, I'm further than I was.

You can also download your type of FF from lowrance onto your pc and play around. I did that and loaded my mc card and played with the maps on the pc before i even got to the lake. Try that out. There are several people on her that will now a lot more than me and will be able to shed more light on this subject.
