Shoot....I'd just get another bottle and put a few more spots here and there so they all matched and everyone would think 1)you had the boat carpeted that way or 2)you fish a whole bunch...... Yuk Yuk (Look at it as the "chartruse badge of courage" Just kiddin - Good luck.....

I have no experience with Spike It or removal of Spike It.
That said, I would highly recommend that you and the wife invest in a SpotBot. I think they're about $120, but it is the most useful stain removal thing I have ever used. My wife and I use it for everything that gets stained into carpet whether it's motor oil, kitty dirrahea, kiddos spilling grape juice, etc. It's awsome!

I've got light gray carpet on my boat. Spilled Spike-It on it shortly after I bought it. It faded out in a day or so. I wouldn't worry about it-it will fade out and be no worse for wear.

I had a former fishing partner spill some on my seats of my 2003 Skeeter and I contacted "Spike It" They do not have anything that will take it off. Or that is what they told me about 1 year ago.

It will eventually fade away. The neutralizer will make it go away fast though. I knocked over a bottle on my light grey carpet. It faded out and was gone in two weeks. Do not use a petroleum based cleaner on your carpet. It will soften the adhesive on the carpet and make it blister. Just let it fade out or use resolve or shaving cream to help it along.

Best way I found to not get it on my carpet/boat, is I dip a whole bag of baits in my workshop at home. Get on me and my clothes some but the boat is OK. Don't even carry any in my boat.
