Went out this morning. Had a fair day. The crappie are still holding on the brush piles. 20 feet of water/15 feet down. Caught maybe 30 fish but only 8 quality keepers. Yes KC I only used jigs today with crappie nibbles. Tried a little slow trolling before I left and caught a couple of fish that way. There was an older gentleman @ the Taylor ramp boat dock. He had a nice little stringer of bream. To tired to clean fish so I gave my fish to him and his grandson. Last trip for me until next Monday. Gotta be all I can be this weekend. Still need to sink that condo.

Keep on fishing.

DBMan...can you recommend some specific models of the jigum jigs that I might invest in for a Granger trip in 2 weeks? Do you have part #'s or links or anything?

Thanks!

Wade

Hey Wade,
I did great on jigum jig color combo of white head, chartruse body, and orange tail.
I caught 17 keepers the other day with this jig combo!
I also caught a 14 incher in 5 ft. of water in the taylor park cove where the small stumps are to the right of the boat ramp
going into the mouth of the cove. I was using an all chartruse jigum in that area......
GOOD LUCK!!!!

Wade, here is the link for Matthew. He will have whatever you want. I prefer the 1/16th oz pink head/black body/chartreuse tail. KC used this combo of white head, chartruse body, and orange tail and did real well.

Caught a few small sandies last time I was out by accident. I don't target them so can't give you much info. You might try the board for whites here on the TFF. noidea

KC are you going out this weekend? I'm gonna try and make it out Saturday afternoon after I get done being all I can be for the day.

Wife and I will be out tomorrow. I think that I will target the stumps up the river for a change.
The weather forcast is great for tomorrow.
Fish or no fish it should be a great day on the lake.
Will give report later!

Kinda slow today,
Brought the wife with me today, she doesn't fish, but likes to come along to watch when the weather is cool.
I got out the long poles with a shinney hinney on it and told her to stick the bobber next to this stump.
Wham, bobber goes under and next thing ya know she is pulling out a 14 incher, biggest of the day.
She caught 3 or 4 more small ones.
I caught probably 25 myself with about 10 keepers, gave them away at the ramp.
If you go out tomorrow, try that little stump row that I have been talking about right as you go into the cove at taylor park, towards the dam ,or to the right if you are facing the ramp.
Should be good for a few fish!
GOOD LUCK!!!
