Wednesday: Several 3's & 4's Hybrids trolling 17' sides of
humps/points - Bomber 6 ASI silver flash 2-4:30 pm. There are
some sandys on the SW side of Smith's Point 12-14 ft. No surface
feeding in the mid lake area. No birds observed. Y'all have a
great weekend.

I am still waiting for my first fall hybrid. I am not
seeing any activity on the south end, have not really fished
for them yet. I'm on a mission to restock my freezer with crappie. smile
Water temp is still too high . We need a COLD front, not
a cool front , to get things going.

good luck
Mo

Well good to hear from the LL again...didn't know if you had given up or the RRC was keeping you busy. Nothing to report but do have new engine 2003 90 hp Yamaha. Not on boat yet soon as FB is over plan to get it on. I'll try to call you this weekend. One more week of FB 1-7 can't come too soon.

Wed. and Thurs. I saw a total of 3 gulls (the large ones) and 2 bald eagles, and none were where Ledbetter Legend was trolling. I know cause I was headed for that sucker rod sticking out of a stump and there was a white boat going back and forth. Fishing has picked up a little, Wed. was excellent and Thurs. was not. Water 67-68.

Gilbo, some season, perhaps before "The Rapture" your school might
get to a 500 season. We got a new-used Johnson 88 hp 1988 this past week.
DaJudge & I got rear-ended on the famous Tyler Loop one night coming in
last Spring and disabled engine # 2. Insurance check paid for the new-used engine.
The mechanic said that the new-used engine has about 20 hours on it. I asked him
to show me !!! (I'm not even from the state of Mo.) He removed the engine cover -
all original paint & very clean. He pointed out that the original paint was even on
all of the teeth on the flywheel on top of the engine. 40 mph - 85 hp measured at
the prop vs. 36 mph.

Re: Sucker Rod (Oilfield pump rod - re-used to make some fences).
I don't have a problem with people marking stumps with plastic
jugs. I do have a problem with metal spears.

Never really understood that one either.

With all those stumps out of sight, now, I guess they are not there anymore. eeks

Ever been out fishing on what should be a great
afternoon and it's like the light switch was turned off?
I'm just a (B-) fisherman anyway and it showed Saturday pm.
I noticed most other boats moving every 30 min.
Mike Weeks & his clients were finished by 4pm.

Mo, is your "Second Cold Front" coming in Dec or Jan?

It's on backorder. smile

I found a few sandies sat on the west side, and discovered
a brushpile in 17 ft of water holding crappie. smile

I need to start recording water temps when the fall bite
starts. The lake is still in the mid 60's. I suspect it
needs to be under 60.
