I run a 04 ZX225 with no complaints, the fishability of the Skeeters is hard too beat. It's NOT the fastest boat on the lake that's for sure.. If you want that, get a Bullet or Allison..

The only thing that has me thinking about another rig is these BIG WATER LAKES.. a 20' foot boat is barely enough in my opinion.

I rode in a Legend once, didn't fish from it.. Just a test ride.
Very nice, good lay out, and very attractive design.

Big and Slow may be the way too go, when I say slow I mean high 60's - low 70's
I have been looking at the Ranger Z22 with the Pro xs 250.
at 50,000+ if I opt for the Yamaha HPDI S2 250 it's "about"
3-grand cheaper.

Your not gonna be doing 60+ in 4'foot rollers any how..
It's my understanding that a Modern Bass Boat is designed to perform nominally (arguably) at best in no more than
3-footer's.. Look at getting from point A-to-point-B when most of the competition can't or won't risk it..

I'm not the best driver, but I can hold on if the boat can take what the lake is dishing out. GET BIG..

JM2C's Safety is a life saver.

Hitch, The problem with asking a question like this is that you're gonna get everyone's opinion on why their boat is the best. It doesn't matter if one boat is faster than another unless you're into peeling your eyelids back. 70 mph is fast enough for me. You can find something wrong with every boat. There's not a "perfect" bass boat on the market. I know Legend owners who have sold their boat and bought another brand as well as Skeeter owners who sold their boat and bought something else.

What you want to do is fish tournaments. First, you'll need to consider how well the boat fishes. Fishability should be high on your list of considerations. Things like stability, construction, size of the front deck, ease of storage, maneuverability, etc. You stand on the front deck and your buddy on the back deck and have him walk from one side to the other while your fishing to find out how stable the boat is. Second, ride in the boat to get a feel for how it handles rough water, turning, etc. Third, consider the boat manufacturer and it's reputation (e.g. customer service, warranty, etc). Skeeter has been in the boating business for several years and has one of, if not the best, hull warranty on the market. Legend has only been in business a couple of years. Fourth, if fishing tournaments and this is a big consideration, who is offering incentives for fishing out of their boat.

Bottom line, for sure ride in both boats. As you can tell by my call name, I own a Skeeter and my next boat will be a Skeeter. I can honestly say that over the last several years, I've seen more and more Skeeters in the tournaments I fish in this area than any other boat. Best of luck in your purchase.

Try them both out Hitch...pay close attention to dealer support and Factory support as well as the bottomline.....cost! If your going to own the boat awile or if your going to turn it within a year or two also...
Whatever makes you happy is the boat you should get...if it turns out bad then go get another brand.
