Bump.. I'll be there Wednesday.... Anyone? Any input?

We fished Caddo around the 1st of Novemeber. We put in at the 43 bridge and fished up river and hit most downed trees protruding into the water using minnows. Caught 22 nice crappie keepers with quite a few throwbacks. Fish were caught between 8-10ft in anywhere from 10-25ft of water. Best bite was morning.

Lake O' The Pines has been slow at the spillway. (the last two times I went) I heard right after I went the crappie were doing great in spurts. It was either fast or slow with them, no in between! My dad told me Caddo has been trying to kill off some invasive plant, and they were using some type of herbicide he thought. Is that problem taken care of? I wanted to fish there, but after what he said I was afraid to go. I have to find a place to bank fish cause I don't have a boat. I know they rent them, but that is expensive.

Caddo Lake & Lake O� The Pines

I had (3) three trips on Caddo Lake last week and we had from 20 to 35 good Crappie each day.
Most came on jigs in 12 to 18 feet of water over man made fish Habitat, some came off dock in deep water.
A friend at Church this pass Sunday said he went to Pine with he son and had 24 Crappie over 10 inch.
They came off jigs in 35 to 40 feet of water just down from Johnson Creek in the main Lake.

Last I heard crappie fishing at Lake O The Pines was fair. Bass fair.

Any recent reports for Caddo or Pines. Will be fishing one or the other this coming Friday.

Fishing last I heard was fair. Catfish is a little better. (Crappie and Bass were just listed as fair.) Here is a link that may be helpful for you. You may already have it though. This is all I know...

Will be on Caddo Nonday 21st and again Wednesday 23rd, should have you a report on caddo. Been doing fair to good with some crappie 13 to 15" long.

Part #1 Crappie Jan 15 trip
Big Cypress River, we put in a the 43 bridge boat ramp.
Started out fishing the boat dock near deep water with 12 to 20 feet near by.
Fish live bait to start with and then change up to 1/16 - 1/8 oz jigs blue body with white tail or all purple worked the best this week

The Crappie have move out to the river, they can be found in 12 to 20 feet of water in brush and around some of the boat dock. We have started booking trips this pass week for Crappie.

Joe Me and a friend went to pines Sunday and boy was it cold! Caught about 25 (you keep the first 25 no matter the size). The bite was light and there were alot of small ones. Did keep two that went 2lbs. We fished out in the river channel and the surface temp was 48 deg. F. I have heard they are doing pretty good over a Caddo out of Uncertain on the river slow trolling. Not sure if we will get out on Friday morning. We may have some sleet or snow. If we get out, will let ya know with a report. Thanks for the reports guys. If the wind is up at all, will go to Caddo for sure.
