what do you consider to be a great bass pond? i like a pond that has some depth, and a good range of natural forage, and a good average size bass(2.5-3#) with some that push 4 or more pounds. also i like alot of cover as well as an easily accessible bank.
thankfully i have a pond that i fish once a week like this. also feel free to comment on good catfish, carp or bream ponds!

Ditto for a carp pond, except that a good carp pond has fish that average 10 to 20 pounds, with some pushing 30. smile

good depth (at least 12-15 ft), good water clarity, and good cover (lilly pads, stumps, brush piles, rock piles).

and of course, loaded with bass.. =)

Personal Record: 8 pounds 10 ounces
Personal Goal: 10 pounds +

One that isnt very big. I have one I fish that I have caught some nice fish out of; 5.02 and 2.08 bass, 14" crappie. Although here lately I cant get bit. Also a friends pond where he caught a 9# plus. Scale said 7.07 but that bass was bigger than that. Maybe he can post some pics.

Ericsson's corporate headquarters in Plano off Legacy took my favorite pond of all time. I saw bass over 8 lbs caught there. I have caught 7+ pounder there. It was not unusual at all to catch 20 bass between 2 and 5 on topwater in one trip.

They were caught on two consecutive casts the winter before Ericsson bought the land and stopped all fishing there. Will anyone tell me where another great pond like this is? I never keep bass and release all pond fish.

You have some nice bass there! If that pond is full of those quality fish its worth it!
I come from the south border and I use to fish in beautiful lakes without to much pressure so you can find easily fish over 6 lbs. Where do you think I should start my fishing here? I love to fish lakes with lots of structure and as we all do I love to go for fish over 14".
Hoping to hear a good notice from you.

Tony, I went to one of those golf course ponds last week that you told me about. I tried to call you, but your dad answered and said you had another phone. I fished one of the ponds there but didn't do any good. We ought to get together and fish one of those ponds together. I need your new #.
Most of my favorite bass ponds seem to have dwindled in numbers. Pond on Corporate Drive in Lewisville, which used to be great, seems to have been given over totally to gar. Too many people taking fish home to eat.

The one that me and my granpa made in Oklahoma..

They call it fishing, not catching for a reason..

Just one cast and you could have your name in the books!

Which pond on Corporate are you talking about?
