Went to fish the bank at the Vine around 4:30ish, saw Rudy coming back and he told us the day had been a little slow. Decided to press on and see what's what.  Ryan found this Aligator Gar while walking the shore looking for lures people may have lost during the summer.  Ryan also caught the 'largest' fish of the day, on a weightless red shad worm.  Poor attempt at getting the full moon shot last night.. Probably should have read the users manual, but that wouldn't be any fun. -z-

That's unusual for a gator gar to be found in that lake. Interesting...

Are you sure that is not a long nose gar? Could be.. Probably is.. Still.. It was ugly and had plenty of stank to go around. -Z-
