I fished it on Saturday for the first time, the west side is without a doubt the most trash laden shoreline I have ever seen in my life. I could not believe how much garbage was everywhere.

Has it always been like that? Was it the rains that brought it in? Is anybody ever done anything about it? Are there any plans to clean it up? What is the deal?

Anybody remember the Crying Indian looking out over polluted wildreness from the seventies psa commercial? I felt like that all day.

Repulsive and sad sums it up for me...

I will be back. I'm never truly gone.....Last post by Brad RIP

The west side is always trashed out. We always joke about flipping to milk jugs.

How about some of us sportsmen taking a few trash bags when we fish that area and picking up some of the big pieces ourselves?

95% of all that trash comes from the trash that lives on the west side of the lake!!!!!!!!

There is a certain element that frequents that side, but if I were to say who frequents it, it would open me up to ridicule. I believe Russy was saying the same as I. But, that is the reason for the trash in that area. No concern for the laws of America. (Hint)

That would do no good. Is will be back the very next day. It is just a bad part of the town on that side.

Just be sure to pack your gun and wear a bulletproof vest.

We used to do that, but the area vermin on the west side would see someone cleaning it up, and think it gave them the right to litter even more.

Several years ago, we were fishing inside the discharge area tied up to the retaining wall one evening. A couple of gangs who frequented that area decided to get into a shootout with each other. So we promply left, and I have yet to fish that area since then. If they want a war zone, they can have it. I've got too many other lakes in the area to fish that are much safer.

It is a sad, because that area can be one of the best places to fish, especially in the winter when they are generating power from that plant.

I have fished there a lot too, but never knew it was that bad of an area. Think maybe I will fish some place else.

Always wondered what all those cars without boat trailers were doing cruising and circling the boat ramp and picnic areas.

It's like non-stop.

"Hey, let's go to Lake Arlington eat some cheeseburgers, throw our trash out the car window, and see if we can steal something or start some shixt!"

I'm astounded people who live in that area don't react to these issues and get something DONE!

Pitiful!

East side of the lake is fine. The west side is in a completely different city, Beirut to be exact!

The east side of the lake is fine. I have never had problems there. It is just bad on the west side.
