Ok folks here it is! The 2008 CAST Metroplex Region Lakes and Dates! I have tried to take into account all the suggestions that were mentioned.
In 2007 CAST introduced it's members to a new tournament format in the Annual CAST TOP SIX Invitational. 36 couples came to Lake Waco from all over Texas to fish for a 100% payback of $5400.00. With the six couples from the Ark-Tex Region each winning $900.00 each for their win over the other five CAST regions. In 2008 with nine regions the TOP SIX Invitational will have a prize pool of $8100.00 with each couple in the winning region eligible to take home $1350.00 each. Along with the prize money are many sponsor promotional items exclusively for the TOP SIX Invitational participating teams. This tournament is set up to see who the "best of best" really are!
In 2008 CAST is guaranteed to pay $10,000.00 to the winner at the CAST Classic for a 200 boat field. The largest payout in CAST history. CAST will continue to guarantee $5000.00 for first place in a field of 174 boats or less. For a Classic field of 175 to 199 boats CAST will guarantee first place at $7500.00 along with paying 24 other places at the Classic.
In 2008 CAST has many sponsors who will be providing promotional items at every regional tournament for our members to receive free, simply for supporting CAST and our sponsors.

The CAST Top Six Tournament was a real success! Everyone should fish as hard as they can to make the tournament! The CAST Metroplex Teams that competed did really well. Metroplex finished 3rd in this tournament! I hope that next year the tournament will be even better with some really good prizes along with it. I know it will be bigger next year because of the new regions that will be coming on board for 2008.
2008 should be a really great year! I look for the things to get bigger and better! More to come on that as information is released!

July 19th: Eagle Mountain; West Bay Marina
