I knew it was just a matter of time. The crappie have finally made there big move onto the brush piles and docks. Yesterday mornings trip was some good action at every stop. We must have caught 125 crappie keeping 42 keepers. I dont think I have ever caught so many short fish from this lake. If you have been waiting for a good report to come down here, well I wouldnt wait any longer. If we would have fished a bit longer we could have easily got there 50 keepers. It was a great day to be on the lake.

I have Thurs & Fri open if you want to come out! All you need to do is show up!

that's a mess of crappie

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

yea, we did have some nice ones. I had about 10 or more that went from 1 1/2 - 2 pounds. I didnt have any over 2 but had 5-6 that were between 14-15 inches that were black crappie. They were very thick, the typical ones we used to catch a bunch of here on CC.
