Do you know when Trouts will be stocked in Hurst Chisholm Park or any pond near by?

Not sure of a date, but it is still way too warm. The ideal water temperature for trout is 57-62 degrees. We may not see that so they usually won't stock until the water is steadily around 70...anything warmer and the trout generally suffocate and are very susceptable to disease.

According to the TPWD website the new schedule for trout stocking will be posted in mid November. Looks like stocking began 11-30-06 and last stock was done 3-8-07.

They usually start around December. Way to hot for them now.
