I see Cabela's puts out a Panfishing Catalog...

Hey, Johnny, how about a BPS Panfisherman's catalog? We really need another catalog from BPS!

Tell ya what, Johnny. I'll only charge you $1 to tell you to put out one big catalog in the spring and fall and forget the rest if you'll give me the $$$ you saved doing what I suggested.

Yeah, it seems like my wife informs me every other day, "You got ANOTHER catalog in the mail today".

I almost never order from Cabella, but the
other day I get this Hardbound , bigger than
the Tyler phone book, " special limited edition"
catalog. Anybody else seen these ?

Hey mo, I got one of those, nice books, but they
still send the smaller individual catalogs too
seems like a large waste to me also, but those
boys are living a lot better than I am so they
may know what they are doing.

I get the Fall addition and the Spring addition every year. Did you buy something from Cabelas over the internet and fill out their little hobby questionaire. That is the only way I can think of that I got one. I spend way more at BPS and Academy than Cabelas, I'm not complaining though. My friends think I am a King, my wife is worried and keeps a watch on our bank account

I was looking trough by catalog's and Cabela's has Edition I and II in their master catalog. Don't know what the difference is but I have two of one and three of the other.

Maybe their prices would go down if the quit publishing so many catalogs.

But the question is, how many did YOU thumb through?

If you answered, "all of them." Then, they win.

If everybody answered, "only 1." Then, they're idiots.

Advertising is first and foremost getting your name in front of people.

If one extra person looks through every single blasted catalog they send out and says, "Hey, I need one of those." then they'll keep sending them.

I think it's great. They help keep the back of my toilet lid down if you get my drift.

If they quit sending them out, then what am I going to read while I'm sitting on the toliet.

I read today that bass pro prints mor that 8 million each year. and I have been getting one a month for more than 1 year. lots of trees but we are growing them at the same time.

8 million catalogs a year...Johnny is making waaayyyyyy too much money from us if he can blow $25+ million a year on catalogs....

I think the flood of catalogs recently in my mailmox may be fueled by the fact that Cabelas is opening 2 new stores in Texas. BPS probably feels threatened. "Bout time.
