I do not know anything about OH IVE. My brother in law and I are going to meet in west texas and hopfully fish for LMB. Does anyone know about this lake or another lake maybe around Abilene with good LMB fishing. We are looking at going next spring. I know about about Del Rio but that is a 11 hour drive. Thanks.

Good bass lake. Fishing is picking up now, and getting back to normal. Lake is still 10' low. Fishing was off this summer due to the 15' of new water. Two places to stay on Ivie. Elm Creek Village (RV and Rooms Caffe) and Concho Park has rooms and resturant also. Elm Creek is located near the Dam and Concho is up lake near the Mouth of the Concho river. thier are only 4 ramps on the lake, Kenedy near Dam area, Concho mid lake on south side, Pagitt on North side of lake near mid lake.( this ramp is very wind susseptable from south winds. Primitave camping only at Pagitt. Finally thier is 12 mi bridge ramp way up the Colorado arm of the lake. 12mi is accessable by small boats only at this time due to shallow water also it is a very steep ramp. Boat slips will be available first come first serve at Kenedy and Concho parks. Ivie is a deep water lake with lots of grassbeds. Most of the trees were left standing when the lake was built, thier were lots of rocky bluffs on the Creeks and rivers that form Ivie, So it is a lake with lots of structure.

Good reply heycods. The lake is also a very good crappie and a decent white bass lake.

Beat me like a bad dog the one and only time I fished Ive. If it was this summer, it has beat a bunch of us like a bad dog! Was awesome till the June rains, then went south bad. Seems to be turning around in the last couple of weeks tho. From what I caught this summer,it would apear we had a good hatch on the whites, didnt get any kind of test on the crappie or bass. Catfish have been on and off all summer, some big ones have been caught in the last few weeks.

It was in July IIRC. I've never caught a small mouth and would love to change that at Ive. Maybe I'll get back there and give it another shot...
