To me Falcon has always priced their rods to be affordable.
The Gunsmoke lineup, probably the best rod they ever made IMO, was a little high tho!

I can't wait till the new rods hit the market. That is why I have been selling all my Falcon's and Revo STXs. I'm getting ready to load up on some new Falcon Caras and Revo Premiers.

Mark, thanks for the post.

Notice the exposed blank on the handle in the picture? The grip is not continuous like on a conventional handle.

Less weight, increased sensitivity.

I have a semi-custom made split grip rod and it does make it lighter.

Palm your reel once. Cushion and support.

I was just being a smart ***....Falcons are about the most afforadble upper end rod out there. I have been replacing my Uglysticks with LowRiders and Caras, all paired with Revos. Your hit the nail on the head, that makes for a heck of a combo, IMHO!
