Got on the water around 1pm. Was fishing a jighead worm set-up. Caught 2 keepers and 4 dinks at my first spot. The wind was pretty strong so I went back and drifted through again but this time throwing a crank. I caught 2 additional dinks on that. I went all the way back a few coves and creek arms but did not get any bites. I moved back into the main lake and caught 1 keeper and 3 dinks at another spot. I tried some dropshot by the dam but no takers. It was started to get dark by then so I headed back towards the ramp. I stopped at 1 more spot by the ramp. I caught 1 more keeper and 3 dinks in about 5 minutes all on the worm. final tally was 4 keepers, 12 dinks. Everything came from the main lake along dropoffs next to deep water.

Thats a pretty good day on Canyon. I have been trying to figure out that lake for about a year now. That would be like a 3 day total for me.

I have fished Canyon probably 60 or 70 times over the last few years and am just now able to consistantly catch fish. Pm me if you are interested in knowing exactly what with and where I have been catching them.
