 Caught my first carp today

Man what a fight! It couldn't have weighed more than 3#'s. But the odd things is that I caught it on rooster tail. The range cubes must've attracted it. It was the only one I brought in before the sandbass and cats started hitting. My buddy took a pic on his camera phone once I get it i'll post it.

Congratulations! Always love hearing stories about first carp being caught.
And yeah, they are GREAT fighters, aren't they. I think that's what got most of us addicted to carp fishing in the first place.
No real surprise it took a rooster tail, carp are quite happy to eat minnows when they have the chance.

I believe I have somehow angered the fish gods. I have blanked on EVERYTHING the last two days. Tomorrow will be another day of trying to catch a carp. If I blank again I may have to give up angling all together! LOL
