Well, was fishing last week and did the good fisherman thing. Was trolling around a grass bed and found some deflated balloons and ribbon in the water. I grabbed them out and dropped them on my casting deck. Well a couple hours later, they had melted and was stuck on the carpet. Anyone got any ideas on how to get blue latex up off grey carpet?

Give this a try, IT works on gum. Put ice on the spots and let them get realy cold and try to scrape them off.

If ice and peanut butter don't work then go to Home Depot and in the paint section there are several solvents available (acetone, paint thinner, brush cleaner, etc...). Don't use the acetone. It will melt your carpet and fiberglass. Start with paint thinner.

Remove your battery first. You do not want a spark to set you on fire. Test a small area of carpet in an out of the way place to see if the solvent is going to melt your carpet. It probably won't but test anyway to be sure.

If none of these work then go to the solvent of last choice, gasoline. Gasoline will get it out but you have to be (in the words of Elmer Fudd) VEWY VEWY CAREFUL!! Don't smoke. Don't let anyone else smoke.
