I heard all the good thing's about DK's punchbait on here, so I bought a jar. First of all it smells like straight up A$$. The first night I used it, we didn't fish long, but I got a couple of hard hits, but didn't get to my pole in time. I plan on using it more in the future.

Good to here! What I've experienced w/DK's is you will catch alot more thatn shad but the size decreases greatly. I've been fishin on a main lake hump that comes up to 15ft and I have to hold the rod cuz that fish will sit the and hit it a hundred times befor he gats the hook. Than set it and set it good on a treble. Thats my experience.

I've never had much luck with DK's on blues but I tear up the channels with it. I hope you do understand that there are 2 different kinds: one with a red lid and one with a white lid. I am not exactly sure what the difference is but I think the white is straight shad and the red has some blood worked into it. There is definitely a difference, though. I catch more with the red lid this time of year. In a month or so I will switch back to the white.

There is also a 3rd kind with a green lid. Its has garlic in it. Thats my favorite one to use during the pre-spawn. If that doesn't work the Blood works good for me year round.

I tried it for the first time a few weeks ago during a nightfishing session. Cant say Im a fan. Was catching good cats on shad but on the DK, I caught nothing but turtles. Hard to keep on the hook as well, and I was using a treble with a spring.

Just a hint...if you put a little piece of pipe cleaner around your hook shank, the bait will catch and stay on longer...I saw this somewhere here and we tried it and had much more success with our bait satying on, we like to use the single hooks with the spring on them...seems to work better with the fuzzy wire....just wanted to lend a tip...hope you bend some tips...lol...Hammerhead

Was catching good cats on shad but on the DK, I caught nothing but turtles. Good to see i'm not the only one hooking turtles! I've never caught so many turtles until I started using DK's. I have had pretty good results with it but I seem to catch at least one turtle every time I use it.
