This is a big cat tournament. Check out the tournament format page. http://www.texasmegacat.com/tournament_format.htmlScott Tournament Format
All entry fees for the tournament must be paid prior to the start of the tournament. Checks will be accepted if received by February 16th, 2008. Online payments will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. February 21st, 2008. No entries will be accepted after that.
The tournament will begin at 7:00 a.m. Prior to the start of the tournament all participants will need to report to the designated boat ramp.
If you plan on fishing from a boat during the tournament your boat will be inspected by a member of the Texas Mega Cat team.
After your inspection you will be given 2 chips with your entry number on them. The chips will be labeled number one and number 2. These chips are turned in one at a time for each of the 2 fish you are allowed to weigh in during the tournament hours.
Once your 2 chips are used you cannot weigh in another fish.
You may not use another persons chip to weigh in AND weighing in a fish you didnt catch will mean disqualification.
When you get into the weigh in line a member of the staff will collect your chip and mark your number down as well as the time and the species of fish caught.
Once 3 p.m. hits a whistle will blow. No chips will be accepted after that. This indicates the end of the tournament.
The top fish weights will not be announced or posted until the end of the tournament when the winners are announced.
After the top places have been established, the top 3 will undergo a polygraph test. Upon successful competition of the polygraph testing the winners will be announced and the prizes will be awarded.
