 I need advice on gettin GPS for waters aroud the Southeat Tx area

I am looking for a good reasonable gps to use in the Beaumont area. I will be going out on the rivers here and a bit of salt water use out of Sabine Pass area.
I had my eye on a referb Garmin 172c with a full factory Warrenty
