it's the creek arm where Bentwater is. from the power lines on back the banks/entire creek is covered in hydrilla

The little lake area is on the west side of the lake across from Seven Coves. It is full of grass along the Bentwater bulk heads as well as out in the middle of the lake.

Is it also called Crouch's Lake on the TopSpot maps? I have never fished that area before so I'm not too sure on where it is. I have only fished in caney creek...

So how does a person fish that type of thick vegetation? You can see how thick the hydrilla is just from the bridge.
Is this where you try for bass, or is it more of a catfish spot?

Went this morning and got on the water at about 6:30, went and fished the backside of the big island and had several good blow-ups on buzzbaits but no takers. switched to worms and had nada. Figured we should get out of the wind for a while and tried inside the break water at walden marina. Hooked one good one and lost it boatside. Decided to leave @ 10:30.

Cat Fish Like Plastic Worms Too!
My cousin was working soft plastics there last weekend. He hooked a huge cat that was bigger across the head than his hand spread out. He got it up to the boat but that was as far as he could get it. He guess-ta-mated it was in the 30lb range.

I caught a handful on traps in Little Lake and the banks in the main lake sunday morning.

had one HUGE blowup on a horny toad, but broke him off on the hookset

there's not much at all going on in the grass in the morning...which is just wierd to me.

Does anyone have an update? Last report I had was that the small bass are going crazy!

Bass fishing is good right now work the grass line edges with a SB or plastics. I have been seeing lots of jug lines out but dont know if they are catching any cats, but on Conroe you can always catch cats.
