i have heard of an area called sergeant but i dont know where that is. does anyone know anything about this location?

We only go there when we go offshore. I've never fished inland there. There's some good rigs straight out from there. I always see people fishing in the channel though.

thats what i was asking about was fishing in the channel and the bay right there. i heard it was a good location.... i would like to check it out. guess ill have to make the trip!

East Matagorda has some excellent speck fishing if you have a boat. There are cuts at the far ends of the beach in both directions if you have 4wd. There's also a section of old Caney Creek that was cut off by the intercoastal canal.
