Fishing is very poor on Palo Pinto could only catch sandies. Cleaned 37 on Sat. and 10 more on Sun. No really fishing is great since lake is full and does not look like a mud puddle. only had 3 fish under 10 inches but do not keep unless 12 inches. Some of these sandies were 15 inches. double checked to make sure they were not hybrids but could not find the hybrids yet.
Most fish caught trolling hell/pet a few on slabs. Water temps from 80.5 to 84.

Do they only have one boat ramp there? Me and my buddy went a few years back and the only ramp we knew of was on the north side of the lake past Lone Camp. They stocked some hybrids last year as well, I think. Pretty lake and close to home.

The boat ramp next to the power plant is the biggest one. It has 2 lanes and the most parking area. On the south side of the lake there is a ramp off of the road that goes to Gordon Tx, and I-20.
If you look on the Texas parks and wildlife web site they show an overview map of the lake and directions to the boat ramps. I use the one on the south side since it is closest to my lake house. Would advise agianst using the one called the Love road ramp. You have to back down about 100 yards, no where to turn around and limited ie no parking area. There are hybrids in lake over Labor day weekend my wife caught one that went about 21 inches. Also a lot of them are 16 to 17 inches so check your fish carefully.
