I went to the Fox Park boat ramp today, and the water is just now at the concrete and asphalt joint that has been stated that the water needs to get below. Should start drying now. Where is the other ramp that has been out of the water for three weeks? Here's to opening soon!

East or West ramp? The east ramp across from the fishing pier was about 1 1/2 ft. below the asphalt last Monday when I was there. Sabot, you were out there this weekend. What did it look like to you?

East ramp is where I was. The water was only about two inches below the asphalt at about 11 am.

Taylor Park is the one that has been out of the water for some time from my view. The ramp was covered with green slime where the water once was. The upper part of the ramp was covered with dirt and brown slime which has since died off. I hope they clean the ramps prior to opening otherwise there will be a few whom will get stuck...

Fox looked to be out of the water for a few days when I saw it from the water this past Saturday. I could be wrong of coarse... wink

shocked Lake must be coming up again without it being posted on the COE website. It was down on the concrete last Monday. On another note. Is anyone up for the crappie tournament/fish fry when the ramps open? Maybe the weekend of Oct 6, 2007? fish

Keep on fishing.

Gross... Uni-sex bathrooms! The crappie couldn't read the signs since they where above the water line...

Plus side, should be some good cat fishin in the guy's stall! Talk about stink bait...

Wonder what the water will taste like coming from the water fountain?

Isn't the lady at the lake just wonderful?!? I think she owns the lake...just ask her(I won't mention her name) I saw one thing wrong with one of the posts...the water hasn't been off the asphalt at Fox Park for weeks. It is about 6" off the asphalt now though so start the countdown. It is about 5' off the asphalt at Taylor Park. I'm with you guys, open her up and lets go!

Maybe we just lucked out, but years ago when the lake was high restrooms and dock type structure/shade were good places to fish!

My two cents on the "Lady of the Lake", aka Brenda. She has the preception that she runs the lake but does not, her boss Tommy Hipp is battling cancer and was not at work yesterday. I have had good results when I call or go to the COE office, ask to speak with Tommy or Ben and immediately bypass Brenda. Both Tommy and Ben have been helpful in answering questions.
