Hello Granger Gang, Anyone still interested in a little tournament/fish fry once the ramps open. Nothing big maybe $10 a boat for largest stringer (7 fish limit) or $15 with $10 going to largest stringer and $5 going to big fish. Then cook um up and have a little get to know everyone fish fry. Columbus day weekend would be a good time.

Anyone heard if any of the ramps are gonna open before the weekend? I sent an email to the COE to get an update. Let you all know if I hear any good news back from them.

Just talked to the Corp and asked about the day use facilites at Granger and their re-opening, including the boat ramps. She said it does not look good for next weekend. When I asked specifically about the chances of opening the boat ramps, she said the chances are not good. I told her I would like to know what was preventing them from opening she said, "my boss". I said "who is your boss" she would not give me a name and hung up.

I think she was a little ticked off that I would even call and ask such stupid questions.

t2g, Call them back and ask for a supervisor immediately. Her hanging up on you is completely unacceptable. I would also send an email to the COE and express the disservice you received. There is no reason why the ramps cannot be open by this weekend. The asphalt to the ramp @ Fox Park East has been out of the water for about 3 weeks now. Truck and trailers will not damage the concrete ramps. These people just P_ss me off. I haven't received any response from the email I sent to the COE either. Go figure. ARSEHOLES

Just sent an email to Senator John Cornyn. Fixin' to send one to Kay Bailey Hutchinson also.Maybe he/she can do something to get the ramps open. I encourage all of you to do the same. You especially t2gf after your experience with the Corp of Idiots.

Keep the pressure on... This will be the only way the ramps will get open sooner then later. I wonder if the Corps have any idea how local's are viewing them? (I am not saying they care but...)

I understand the rules and respect the purpose of the lake. I don't understand what is happening now. The areas still need to be maintained and as soon as the water leaves areas, crews need to be in there cleaning it up. Nothing more then protecting further damages from being done. Nothing new here, just do your job Corps.
