I am pretty sure I am seeing catfish, usually the small 6 to 8 inch ones, in my dock light at night. I guess they are cruising for the bugs drawn by the light. Sometimes there is a keeper size cat on the top.

I wonder if you can catch catfish on topwater, maybe a fly or something.

Anybody got any interesting stories about cats on top or in lights?

They'll hit a live grasshopper or cricket. You can try on top or put one about a foot under a float with split shot.
