Pro Sport builds a good one
I am running the Minn-Cota charger right now, charges and maintains quite well, I like the L.E.D indicators for all 3 batteries.

Glad you started this thread. I just got a small bass boat and I was wondering if there are solar trickle-chargers out there for boat batteries + what success folks have had with them if so.

I would either get another Guest or the Propack chargers.
God Bless, Stephen

What I've switched to is the Pro Mariner Pro Model. It is more money, but well worth it. The pro model has a feature that if it detects a really low battery, it will divert power from the other banks, and hit it with a quick charge to bring the battery up, then switch to 15 amps for the remaining charge, then down to 2 amps for trickling.
Dual Pro's are good, and their customer service is outstanding.
Guests... ok.

I am on my second Minnkota in a year, and I don't think it works right either. I don't think it is kicking down into maintenance mode like it's supposed to. It cooks the fluid out of the battery overnight, I have to refill my baterries everytime I charge them.
