I'm looking at purchasing the Navionics HotMaps cartridge for my gps. It will be the one for coastal Texas. Does anybody have any experience with this chartplotter? Is it worth the money? Are there any particular problems with it? Thanks

Just used mine for the first time at POC, bayfishing. It was impressive. The maps had all the channel markers, bouys in the bay, showed the oil/gas rigs, ICW markers. Depths were fairly acurate given tidal movements. All I can say is impressive.

That's the info I was after. I was really concerned how accurate it would be. I figure the sonar can give me the exact depth. Thanks for he response

'08 is about to be released. Might as well wait a month or so.

Thanks. I'm heading for Port A mid November. Might as well pick it up when I get there.
