Ate there again this past weekend. Hilltop Cafe - Fredericksburg. 10 miles or so north on the Mason Highway! You just have to eat there to understand. We ate family style...(4 of us). Sourdough bread...Oysters Bruton...Fried Oysters... Blackened shrimp with some kinda corn dish...Greek chicken... Beef tenderloin that was about 3 inches thick with sauteed potatos... MY GAWD!!!! MAKE YA SLAP YER GRANNY!!!! washed it down with tall glasses of IPA...Indian Pale Ale. which is brewed in Blanco Texas. DEEEEE-LICIOUS!!

the tip top in san antonio, home style cooking, everything is real, from sea food to chicken fried steak, but im aways going thru to fredericksburg or llano i gota try the hill top nes pa

Kings Inn in Riviera. Order fried shrimp by the pound. Killer tartar sauce.

i gotta say the kings inn is not to shabby, we put in there, and comeing out of a days fishing we eat there, but after a days fishing me so hungry i could eat a chicken fried roof shingle

Over all?
The Grotto, in Highland Village.
I can think of a few places where I've had an individual dish that was better, all over the country, and a few in England.
But the most consistently incredible food I've had each trip has to be The Grotto.
