 How far have you gone out?

I'm sure this has been posted before, my longest out so far was 40 miles out at POC. We of course had GPS and Radar the hole time, had a great time caught lots of fish, the last time (last weeked) we went about 30 miles offshore, caught some good red snapper, its a lot of fun offshore fishing, I like it better than the bay.

We went out 64 miles, we went out of Surfside(Freeport).. We chartered a big boat and went out

Does oilfield helicopter platform hopping count. If so I've been to fishing spots very few people have ever been to. Those deep water platforms hold some incredible fish.

1,600 miles from San Diego to the Revillagigedos Islands.
After that.. everything else on the TX coast is just a hip and a skip away..

always estimated cause we dont have GPS (compass only) but we guessed one time at around 25-30 miles.

I caught my first king fish when we were out 40 or so miles out off of a rig, it fixed my sea sickness

35-40 miles on a charter out of Port Aransas. For that particular charter trip, the best fishing we had was within site of the jetties, caught some BIG Kigfish around that area, then headed out for red-snapper. Not my personal favorite catch.

I'm with Bazz, 200+ miles to Redhawk. Caught 4 Red Snappers at about 125-150 miles out that went almost 80 pounds!

Me, about 40-60 miles out on a large boat but my wifes Uncle has been out more than a few times in an 18' boat, 5-6 people, 75 miles out of GALVESTON! WOW!!!! That's almost crazy!

Mike, I'm looking @ a picture of you in front of that rig, on that trip, right now. that has to be the bluest water I've ever been in. you could see 100' down!
Awesome out there.
farthest so far in a private boat is 13 miles

18 miles out of Port A by the GPS in my 22 foot Triton Seaflight. Caught lots of fish that day. Fishing at its finest.
