Just realized that Ray Bob is just up the road from me and was thinking of checking it out later in the after noon or tomorrow.
Any ramp suggestions? Any even open?
Any fishing suggestions?
Thanks in advance .... broad question I know..
Oh yea - Same goes for Eagle Mountain...

Maybe a GPS too. You could get seriously turned around and misconstrued on the RayBob.

fishin,
To answer your question, Isle du Bois State Park, Sanger Access, and Jordon Park ramps are OPEN. Pond Creek, Pecan Creek, Buck Creek and Johnson Branch SP are still CLOSED. The lake is approx 3' high. Wife and I just got back from a 4 day weekend out there. We caught lots of bass. Biggest one went 5.5#, couple in the 3-4# range and quite a few in the 2-3# range. Of course we also caught a LOT of dinks! Our best pattern was positioning the boat in 6-7' of water and throwing a TX rigged Zoom finesse worm up pretty shallow and SLOWLY pulling it back through flooded vegetation. Most bites cme in 4-5' of water. We fished main lake coves and small pockets, anything with flooded willows or brush. Finesse worms in watermelon/red flake, watermelon seed, green punpkin, just about anything green, worked well. Another star performer was a Zoom curly tail in motor oil with chartreuse tail. My butt is real shiny from the waxing my wife put on it with that worm! In fact, she pretty much out-caught me all weekend, but I tended to catch the bigger fish. I think you'll like Ray Roberts once you get to fishing it.
