The last few days of August were good Cat Fishing. Most fish were about 14" and all were Channel Cat. The fish were found near the bank/weeds in fairly calm water around sunset. I switched my fishing method from tight line to slack. Now I'm getting more fish to pick up the bait and run off, allowing a great hookset. The tension from tight lining was making the fish peck at the bait and spit it out before hookset. Also, I've had much better luck with DK Blood instead of original.
