Right handed, on spinning reels I use the left hand. Casting reels the right. Those old Mitchell spinning reels of my Dads I was taught to fish on did not convert. I remember always making fun of those that fished them upside down as a kid.

I'm right handed and reel my left using a spinning rod, with my right using a bait caster.

I'm confused. I write and shoot left handed, but do everything else right-handed. Reel with my right, cast with either.

I'm both handed, but I cast right handed. I use reels both right and left handed. Everyone always said I was one messed up dude!!!!!! LOL

In England that question has a whole different meaning. Hence the phrase, "left footer".

Cliff,
Tried both ways on Sat (Ray Roberts). It seems that I had more control when reeling right (I'm right handed). But I think I sacrificed some sensitivity holding the rod in my left hand although I still was able to feel the thump. If jigging, rod right. If reeling (minnows) rod left. That's my vote now.

Do both with right hand-just not very coordinated with my left.
