I need to get a cowl seal for a 70's vintage evinrude 100 hp. I think the 90, 100, 115, and some others were all the same. I've been looking and can't dig one up.

Does anyone know where I could find one??

Thanks very much!!

well i looked at the place I get most of my parts for my '69 johnson and it says "no longer available" - ishopmarine.com

best bet would be to call a shop that has been around for a long time - used to be a great on in Garland but it's gone - last time I had to get something like that I had to go to the johnson dealer on Cedar Creek (gun barrel cirty) - not sure they are even there anymore as they are not listed on the johnson site as being a dealer now - they are on the north side of 85 on the east side of the lake - if someone remembers the name and maybe if they are still there...

I had to make my last lower unit seal out of RTV (not the shaft seal) - not fun either way

Try Austin Hardware In Rowlett. They sell parts for building weather tight boxes and other such stuff. They have alot of weather strip type material in their catalog and you might be able to come up with something that way. I got my latches and weather stripping there when I redid the carpet on my Nitro before I sold it.
