Howdy fellers, me and some buddies of mine are fishing alot at morgan's point.. we dont fish right at the rocks where people park we usually fish down at that bulkhead by the green marker.. on one side theres the ship channel and behind us is a private beach you guys might know where im talkin about.. now we have been reaaaaly getting into fishing and watching alot of the pro anglers and reading alot of texas fishing magazines..we usually fish fresh dead. but live on a cork has been the winner for that particular area.. but we want to fish like the pro's and get those lures working.. i use assasins and gold spoons but theres so many rocks i just lose lures... is there a way to use thies lures effectivly in a rocky area? or should i just keep slingin the dead and live ?? any info would be greatly appreciated
Have an Adventure..

Me personnally I HATE LURES !!!!! I would stick with live ( unless you looking for sandtrout and drum or crocker then dead will be fine .

huck what I would do is search the forums, I have seen threats about lures on here, also 2coolfishing.com and sanluispass.com I can read it all day but I need to see what they are talking about. if I were you, go wade fishing in texas city, near the island on the left as you get on the dike. there are tons of people there that I am sure would teach you everything you need to know. just my 2 cents. good luck
Heeeeyyyyy...nice beaver. Thanks I just got it stuffed.

Most of the time I use mudfish . I use what is called a worm rig. Small wt. about 18 inches above hook. I walk along the railing dragging the mudfish around the pilings . When you feel a bump , stop, wait about 5 minutes Flounder are funny about how they eat. After 5 minutes check your bait if its ok start over.
