The wife and I tried a new spot yesterday on Ray Hubbard and it paid off nicely. We fished from 7 till 8:30PM and landed just shy of 40 perch. For the first 30 minutes I was trying for Bass with zero luck while the wife hauled in perch. I said screw this and switched over to my ultra-lite! What made it even better was that more than half of the fish were hand size or larger. We were using night crawlers fished on the bottom with #6 gold hooks and small split shots.

Brent, I can't tell you how many times I would be fishing with friends, and the kids were jerkin perch like crazy. While the parents were trying to catch big ol Mr. Bass. It wouldn't take long till somebody had to run to the bait shop for more worms, because we all started to fish for the fun of those BG's. Thanks for the report!

BG are so much fun, it turns into a competition of who can catch the most not the biggest.

Want some real fun? Try them on top using a light flyrod and small popping bug!
