Well, I've been zero'd the last couple times out (freshwater) and pretty much zero'd the last few times out in salt.

Today, I thought I would get some worms and I would certainly catch SOMETHING, even if just a sunfish. Went out in Newton County to places that have always been good with worm fishing. After about 4 hours with nothing but maybe 2 bites, my bro-in-law decided to move elsewhere. We loaded up and went another 20 miles or so to Claiborne Park to fish a little pond there. It's usually nothing for decent fish, but almost always a guarantee perch jerk/worm fishing spot. Nothing there.

Zero'd probably the last 4-5 times I've been out. I don't rememeber the last time fishing was this bad around here. I know the storm last year is probably the cause. Talked to a few people who voiced the same concern and that TPWD wasn't too movitivated about restocking in our area.

I'm just frustrated I guess. BUT I WANT TO CATCH A FISH!

Some Days You Eat the Bear, and Some Days the Bear Eats You....Keep after it and your luck will change. I would suggest keeping a diary with all the pertintent information...Weather, Wind, Lures used, etc., and then you'll at least have information regarding what not to do next time....

I'd like to know how to undo the hex! But if you teach me how to hex, then everybody could just share my hex!

I know it's probably just bad luck mixed with my less-than-amateur skills.

The diary/log is a great idea - I've read about how good they can be in the long run. Just gotta start doin' it though.

And since I haven't learned the drop-shot, I didn't try it yet. But I will now.

Thanks for the advice.

I feel your pain...Lake Granbury has been hit by that golden algae several times now and our fishing has really dropped to nearly nothing.

You really have to hunt for them now. But, part of the problem (in my humble opinion) has been our weather patterns. Our fish are moving like crazy. I no longer stay in one place as long as before.

Sometimes the North in of the lake is good...go out the next day and nothing...drop down a mile or so into water you've never seen fish in before
(I mean NEVER)and Bang! there they are.

NOT like the old days (5 years ago). Then, you could go any where on that lake and catch fish. Keep your fingers crossed that @#$% doesn't get into any of the other lakes. It sure makes for some poor fishing.
