Holiday is close to the dam and is a good ramp.
If you must mount the gallows, give a jest to the crowd, a coin to the hangman, and make the drop with a smile.

I have only been to Tawakoni a couple of times... but im pretty sure all the dam is off limits for driving. The only thing I think you could do, is go up to the dam by boat and hop on the rocks to fish.
And yes, Holiday Marina has a good ramp and is the closest you are gonna get.

I have been to Tawakoni a few times, and I see folks anchor and fish along the front of the dam, but I do not know if it is legal to anchor and get out of the boat and fish from the dam.
I think you would do much better by anchoring a little way out from the dam and fishing from the boat. JMO.

I wouldn't get on the dam. You will get fined and or snake bit. Better stick to anchoring out and casting into shore. The only driving is done by the corps.

i know they mostly are water snakes, but they will make you hurt yourself. i almost always see snakes and either mink or some kind of other furry critter when fish for cats by the dam.
