These are just some random photos I took. It's tough setting down the rod and picking up the camera on one of these trips.

This was my first time off shore other than a couple of short trips out of Cancun and I had a blast. I have to admit when we came out of the river and saw those big waves in the Gulf I was a little concerned. That was one heck of a ride to say the least. Luckily I never got sick for those that did it must have been miserable because it was rough for a long time.

The fishing was awesome I caught Red Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Black Fin Tuna, a Moray eel, and a few other species that I can't remember. The Black Fin out at Gunnison were my favorite too bad the Yellow Fin were no where to be found. Having nothing to compare it too the Black Fin were fine with me. The music was blaring the beer was cold and the bite was on.

One of the most impressive things to me was watching the deck hands keep every thing running smooth and in my case taking the time to answer all my questions. These guys earn every penny they make.

Thank you to Michael Bristow for making this trip possible I owe you Big Time also thanks to JP and Charlie for letting me use your gear and showing me the ropes. Yall made this one of my most memorable trips ever. Thank you!!!

Great pics J.P.! It was a fun fishing trip with great people. Thanks to Mike Bristow for the one spot that allowed us to go. The Big E is going to leave an impression on us for a lifetime....these last few trips are going to be remembered.

I wanted to chime in on the deck hands as well. They did a great job and kept a very upbeat attitude while working their tails off. Josh is always a pleasure to fish with and this was my first time out with Raul, who also did a steller job.

Capt. Frank worked hard to put us on fish, but I guess the hurricane turned the bite off somewhat and may have sent the tuna to deeper waters.

I visited with Capt. Frank about the status of the Big E and the sale. October is the last month. The boat will then be converted to a multi-day dive boat. They may end up putting more money in to the conversion than was originally spent building the boat. Another fuel tank is on the list, giving the boat greater range and the ability to stay out quite a bit longer.

I hate to say goodbye to such an awesome fishing machine.

Thanks for the photos JP cheers

That's my Buddy Greg's first yellow fin tuna.. On Tuna and He is Hooked on Offshore fishing.. already buying his own gear for another trip.. LoL

It's a shame the Big E and Capt. Elliot's are going away.. I've been fishing with them since the early 80's. I will miss my old home away from home in Freeport.

Capt Frank and The Big E Crew are some of the hardest working men on the Gulf.. Excellent Job as usual.. Josh, Raul.. You Guys ROCK thumb
